This is my last collection for 2021. What a fantastic year it has been for me. There have been many triumphs and celebrations and I have been overflowing with delight with the response to my work.
My Winter Collection has been painted over the last 3 months. With hundreds of layerings and adjustments of paint and pencil, I have been capturing these bright, cold, short days that the autumn adventures bring to us.
The sky has been putting on a show for me over this time, with fleeting formations, glorious sunsets and big, sweeping skies; sometimes filled with rainbows.
I have had walks with loved ones, spending time together strolling along. Footsteps patting along the chosen path in simple times, with the aimless pleasure of expanding one’s horizon. I want the viewer, to sit and gaze at the discovered views and the glimpses of magic. Filled with a deep sense of restwith the rolling hills, like a big duvet, their peaceful folds and gentle whispersthat stir stillness.
As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky is ablaze with bright, vivid pinks and oranges for the shepherdess’ delight. A cheerio to today as it’s almost time for bed. Time to let go and and enjoy the sweet nothings of a slower pace.
The collection will be exhibited at my home for Artists Open Houses Winter 2021 on 26 - 28 November.
