Sketch squares at the ready!
It’s here! Today we officially begin November Squares, and I’m thrilled to unveil the full list of prompts that will guide us through this month-long creative journey. November is the perfect month for this challenge—those dark, cozy evenings are just waiting to be filled with colour, imagination, and new ideas. So, here’s your chance to dive in, get inspired, and make something every day.
What’s November Squares?
For anyone new to the party, November Squares is a 30-day creative journey, and it all starts with these daily prompts. Each one is designed to spark ideas and invite a fresh interpretation. We’ll be using Sketch Squares, my oak-veneered stencil made for A4 sketchbooks, though you can join in with whatever materials you have. It’s all about making creativity a daily ritual and discovering something new about your art—and yourself.

Why November? Usually, November keeps me busy with Artists Open Houses, but this year I wanted to dedicate the month to a new, shared creative experience. These prompts give us the perfect way to brighten the season and enjoy a month of joyful exploration.
